About the Author:
Helen Allison, RN, BA, BSW, MSW, co-ordinated one of the first hospices in Canada. A palliative care nurse, medical social worker, and senior author of Social Work Services as a component of Palliative Care with Terminal Cancer Patients, (Haworth Press), Helen advocated and pursued whole-person care throughout her long career.
In Stay, Breath with Me: Stories of Courage, Healing, and Love, Helen shares her life's learning that patient wisdom is key to healing, relief from pain, and the alleviation of suffering.
